Go Back to the Roaring 20's!
The Roaring Twenties were probably the most well remembered era in the history of the United States. Returning veterans from World War I had no desire to return to working on farms or factories. Instead, they dreamed and hoped for a more comfortable life. New social activities promoted that. Americans could enjoy playing mini-golf, listening to the radio, and participating in and number of events.
Flappers, woman who dressed provocatively, had bobbed hairstyles, smoked, and went to clubs, represented the new 1920's "inhibited lifestyle." All of this (the Flappers and social activities) happened a little bit prior to the Roaring Twenties, but it wasn't until the 1920's when the middle class Americans began participating in these events. In addition to social events, food was plentiful and cheap, new cars began to pop up, the cinema age began, and science, medicine, and health advanced remarkably during the 20's.
